Perennial, caespitose herbs or bushy undershrubs, forming cushions. Rootstock cylindrical, long. Basal stem partly underground, covered with remains of stipules. Floral stem forked and 2-flowered at the top. Leaves in rosettes at the top of basal stem, ternate. Leaflets deeply divided to the midrib, segments linear revolute, acute. Petals obcordate. anthers dithecous. Carpels glabrous, styles subterminal, flattened below.
