Perennial, prostrate or ascending herbs. Rootstock stout and woody, Stem slender, variable in length, 15-25 cm long, with minute tomentose and long villose glandulose hairs. Basal leaves 3-5, interruptedly pinnate, lower stem leaves with 2 pairs of leaflets, upper leaves ternate, 2.5-6 (8-10) cm long, petioles 1.5-3.0 cm long with long spreading villose and glandulose hairs. Basal stipules lanceolate, membranous and brown, cauline stipules oblong-lanceolate, leafy, entire or bifid. Leaflets 2-2.5 cm long, obovate, 7-12 serrate dentate, upper surface green and sparsely pilose, lower surface densely pilose, glandulose. Flowers 5-10 in loose corymbose cymes, 1.1-1.3 cm diam., petals obovate, emarginate, 5-6 mm long. Stamens about 20. Receptacle snowy white, sericeous. Carpels numerous. Syle c. 2 mm long, subterminal, filiform above, thickened below. Achenes wrinkled.
