Didymoplexiella Garay

錨柱蘭屬

Saprophytes, terrestrial, leafless. Rhizomes fleshy, tuber-like. Inflorescence a raceme; peduncle erect, with few scale-like basal sheaths, slender; rachis dilated apically. Flowers many, closely spaced, opening successively upward; sepals and petals joined at base into shallow cup, dorsal sepal and petals fused for ca. half their length, lateral sepals also connate more than half their length; lip adnate to base of column, free from sepals and petals, lobed or not; column widened at apex, extending as a long stylid bending downward on both sides, without foot at base; anther terminal, incumbent, operculate, slightly papillous, 2-celled; pollinia 4, in 2 pairs, soft, without caudicle but sometimes with viscidium; stigma entire; rostellum obscure. Capsules with considerably elongated pedicels.

About 6 species, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, extending northward to southern Japan. One species in Taiwan.
