Leucolaena siamensis Rolfe ex Downie
Plants 20-30 cm tall. Rhizomes subterranean, fusiform, fleshy. Root slender, flexuous, 5-15 cm long, ca. 0.5 mm in diam. Peduncle with 2 or 3 scales near base; bracts 2 mm long, persistent. Flowers 10-20, white or tinged light red; sepals and petals connate below, forming tube ca. 5-7 mm long, dorsal sepal connate with petal for half their length, lateral sepals connate two thirds their length, only slightly connate with petals; lip spatulate, 6 mm long, retuse at apex; column with long stylids curving downward.

Southern Japan (Yakushima), southern China (Hainan) and Thailand. Taiwan, broadleaved forests on the Hengchun Peninsula.
