Haraella Kudo

香蘭

Small epiphytic herbs. Stems much shorter than leaves. Leaves distichous, flat, oblanceolate, falcate. Racemes axillary, few flowered; peduncle nearly as long as leaves, flexuous. Flowers opening successively; sepals and petals similar, spreading, fleshy; lip sessile at base of column, not spurred, rectangular-oblong, or subpanduriform, concave at base, constricted near middle and divided into a hypochile and epichile, minutely fimbriate along margins; disc with large callus; column short and stout, without foot; anther terminal, opercular, 1-celled; pollinia 2, waxy, globose, porate, connected by long stipe to a large viscidium; stigma large, concave; rostellum, 2-lobed.

Endemic, only a single species.
