Small herbs, glabrous throughout, stems slender, creeping, stoloniferous. Leaves long-petiolate, ovate, membranaceous, 7-20×5-15 mm, entire or subentire, with few obsolete minute teeth, apex obtuse, base cuneate; petiole 1-3.5 cm long. Heads yellow, 2-2.5 cm across, involucre 8-10 mm long, inner phyllaries 9 or 10, linear, outer ones 2-3.5 mm long; pedicel slender, 5.5-10 cm long. Achenes 4-6 mm long, apex rostrate, beak 2-3 mm long; pappus 4-5 mm long. Chromosome number, 2n = 16 (Peng et al., Bot. Bull. Acad. Sin. 27: 221. 1986).

Korea, Japan and China. Taiwan, in the central mountains, ca. 2,000 m.
