Aster subulatus var. sandwicensis (A. Gray) A. G. Jones, Brittonia. 36: 463. 1984.
澤掃帚菊
This variety is distinguished from var. subulatus by the following:
1. Leaves wider, 0.8-2.5 cm; middle part of lamina is widest.
2. Leaves petiolate instead of sessile and subamplexicaul as in var. subulatus.
3. Heads slightly larger, 7-9 mm long.
4. Ligules pale purple, pappus shorter than tubular part of floret.
5. Pappus not prominent before maturity of seeds.
