Salvia garedji Troitzky
Leafy stems many-branched 20-40 cm. Leaves petiolate, pinnate with 2-4 pairs of ovate lateral leaflets and large oblong-elliptic terminal ones, long-hairy beneath and short hairy above, with yellow transparent glands. Basal leaves smaller sessile, with wide leaflets. Inflorescence (verticillasters) 8-flowered. Calyx 15-20 mm long, 1/3 dissected, corolla 30-35 mm long, bright purple. V - mid spring to late autumn. Fl - mid summer, June, July for one month. Fr - September. P - by seed and cuttings. Drought-resistant, sunny places required. Good for group planting. Z 6 (5). New.
Caucasus (eastern Transcaucasus). On dry slopes, sandy soil.
