Lycium depressum Stocks


Shrub 1.5-2.5 m. Branches long, spiny. Flowers light violet, 3-6 in clusters. Berries egg-shaped, scarlet, conspicuous. Heat resistant, also good for salty and clayey soil and for stabilizing sandy banks. Z 6 (5). New.

European part of Russia (regions between the Volga and Ural rivers), southern Transcaucasus, Central Asia and Iran. On sandy and clayey soil, often in salty places.
