Bract margin slightly and irregularly dentate. fr. May-Jun.

Similar to Salix coggygria but leaf blade neither rusty brown pubescent adaxially nor white villous abaxially when immature, not pruinose when mature, margin entire, rarely remotely dentate; bracts slightly and irregularly dentate at margin, subtruncate at apex; filaments pubescent for 3/4 to all their length.
