垫状偃卧繁缕 dian zhuang yan wo fan lu
Stellaria maximowiczii Kozhevnikov.
Plant densely cushionlike. Stems glabrous. Leaves ovate-lanceolate, margin ciliate. Flower solitary. 2n = 18.
Montane meadows, stony areas, scrub; (4600--)4900--5600 m. Qinghai, Sichuan, Xizang, Yunnan [Bhutan, India, Nepal, Sikkim].
In his original description of Stellaria maximowiczii, Kozhevnikov (Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 20: 104. 1983) stated that the plant has 4-merous flowers, with only two styles. The present authors have been unable to verify his statements.
