臭椿(原变种) chou chun (yuan bian zhong)

Toxicodendron altissimum Miller, Gard. Dict., ed. 8, Toxicodendron no. 10. 1768; Ailanthus cacodendron (Ehrhart) Schinz & Thellung; A. glandulosa Desfontaines; Albonia peregrina Buc’hoz; Pongelion glandulosum Pierre; Rhus caco dendron Ehrhart.

Bark smooth and straightly grained. Petiolules 0.6-1.5 cm. Samarium oblong, 3-4.5 × 1-1.2 cm.

● Found in many habitats; 100-2500 m. All regions of China except Hainan, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Ningxia, Qinghai [widely cultivated and naturalized elsewhere].
