Hypericum gebleri Ledebour, Fl. Altaic. 3: 364. 1831; H. ascyron var. brevistylum Maximowicz; H. ascyron var. macrosepalum Ledebour; Roscyna gebleri (Ledebour) Spach.
Plants 0.5-1 m tall. Leaves 3-6 × 0.4-1.5 cm, base usually cuneate. Flowers 0.45-5 cm in diam. Sepals narrowly oblong or oblong-lanceolate, 1.5-7 mm wide, apex rounded or usually obtuse to acute. Styles 2.5-3.5 mm, ca. 0.5 × as long as ovary, free. Capsule cylindric-ellipsoid.
