楔叶葎(原变种) xie ye lü (yuan bian zhong)

Galium pseudohirtiflorum H. Li.

Plants stout, often clambering. Stems 20-70 cm, much branched, villosulous or hirtellous, ± retrorsely aculeolate. Leaf blade often larger, oblanceolate-oblong, mostly ± hirsute and with margins retrorsely aculeolate. Inflorescences large, with many-flowered cymes. Corolla lobes filamentous-aristate. Ovary and fruit glabrous and smooth, verrucose, or rarely with uncinate trichomes. Fl. and fr. Jun-Sep.

Mountain slopes; 1200-3000 m. Guizhou, Sichuan, Xizang, Yunnan [Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand].
