长柄凤仙花 chang bing feng xian hua

Plants annual, 60-100 cm tall, glabrous. Stem erect, branched. Leaves alternate; petiole short, with 2 basal glands; leaf blade ovate-lanceolate, 5-9 × 2-3 cm, lateral veins 5-7 pairs, base cuneate, attenuate into petiole, margin crenate-serrate, teeth mucronulate, apex long acuminate. Inflorescences axillary or subterminal, racemose, 3-5(-8)-flowered; peduncles erect or spreading, long, distinctly overtopping leaves, 3-5.3 cm, slender; bracts often caducous, subulate or subulate-lanceolate. Flowers yellow, ca. 2.5 cm deep. Lateral sepals small, 2(or 4), ovate-oblong, apex acuminate. Lower sepal funnelform, narrowed into a hooked, long spur; tip of mouth obtuse or slightly acute. Upper petal orbicular, apex mucronulate; lateral united petals not clawed; distal lobes narrowly lorate, often flexuose. Capsule linear, 2-2.5 cm. Seeds oblong-ovoid, rugose. Fr. Sep.
