墨脱凤仙花 mo tuo feng xian hua

Plants annual, 5-20 cm. Stem procumbent or ascending, slender, lower nodes dilated, with fibrous roots, simple, rarely branched, glabrous. Leaves alternate; petiole 3-25 mm, with fibrous glands at base; leaf blade greenish abaxially, green adaxially, ovate or elliptic-ovate, 2-3.5(-5) × 1-3 cm, membranous, setose between teeth, lateral veins 5 pairs, base cuneate, margin coarsely crenate, apex obtuse or slightly acute. Inflorescences in upper leaf axils, 1- or 2(or 3)-flowered; peduncles shorter than leaves, slender. Bracts caducous, ovate-lanceolate, small, ca. 2 mm. Flowers pink, 1.5-2 cm deep. Lateral sepals 2, ovate, ca. 2 mm, apex mucronulate. Lower sepal narrowly funnelform, gradually narrowed into an incurved spur; mouth oblique, tip rostellate. Upper petal suborbicular, ca. 6 mm in diam., apex mucronulate, abaxial midvein narrowly carinate; lateral united petals not clawed, 2-lobed; basal lobes suborbicular, small; distal lobes dolabriform; auricle narrow, inflexed. Anthers obtuse. Ovary fusiform. Capsule unknown. Fl. Jul-Aug.
