Plants annual, lacking a caudex. Calyx sometimes 4-lobed. Corolla sometimes 3- or 4-lobed. Ovary sometimes 3- or 4-locular.
Four species: Himalaya and the Hengduan Mountains; four species (two endemic) in China.
