Hispid, annual or perennial shrubs, with flowers in bracteate cymes. Flowers zygomorphic, protandrous, blue, yellow or white in colour, infundibuliform with usually an oblique limb. Stamens unequal. Nutlets angled, rugose.
40 species distributed in N. & S. Africa, Europe, Canary, W. Asia. Represented in Pakistan by 1 cultivated species.
