Perennial herb, glandular. Leaf imparipinnate, leaflets 3-15, alternate, glandular below; stipules minute. Inflorescence an axillary raceme or spike. Bract small, caducous, bracteoles absent. Calyx campanulate, bilabiate, the upper lip with 2 short teeth, the lower with 3 long teeth. Corolla yellow, blue or mauve. Vexillum narrowly ovate or oblong. Wings shorter than the keel. Keel obtuse to acute. Stamens diadelphous, vexillary stamen free. Ovary sessile, 2-several ovules, style thick, incurved at the apex, stigma terminal. Fruit glandular or echinulate, indehiscent or 2-valved, 1-several seeded.
A genus with about 30 species; represented by 3 species in Pakistan.
