Perennial with tuberous or bulbous underground parts. Stem short; basal leaves well-developed, upper reduced. Perianth infundibuliform, white, curved, persistent, segments subequal. Stamens included. Ovary 3- locular; stigmas 3. Seeds compressed.
A genus of 13 species, represented in Pakistan by one cultivated species.
