Small trees. Leaves opposite, simple. Calyx and corolla 5-lobed; throat of corolla wide. Stamens 4, exserted, glabrous; anthers bilocular. Disk cupular. Capsule linear, dehiscing loculicidally. Seeds with a broad transverse hyaline wing.
A monotypic genus found in Arabia, S.Iran, E.Afghanistan, Indo-Pakistan.
