Alyssum cupreum Freyn & SintAlyssum linifolium var. tehranicum Bornm.Meniocus linifolius (Steph. ex Willd.) DC.
Annual, erect or suberect, rarely prostrate herb, usually 10-20 cm long or tall, branched mostly from the base, clothed with stellate, appressed hairs. Leaves oblanceolate or linear oblong, (5-) 10-25 mm long, 1-3 mm broad; sessile, cuneate, entire. Racemes 10-25-flowered, up to 15 cm long in fruit. Flowers c. 1.5 mm across, pale yellowish or whitish; pedicel up to 3.5 mm long in fruit, filiform, spreading. Sepals c. 1.5 mm long. Petals c. 2 mm long. Stamens c. 1 :1.5 mm long; filaments appendaged. Siliculae broadly elliptic, 4-6.5 mm long, 2.5-4 mm broad; valves compressed, membranous, plane with a distinct mid-vein, glabrous; stigma minute on an inconspicuous style (up to 0.5 mm long) ; seeds 4-6 (-8) in each locule, ovate-orbicular, 1-1.5 mm long, brown.

Distribution: C., S. & E. Europe, N. Africa, S.W. Asia to Pakistan.
A very variable species in size and habit. S. Abedin & Abrar Husain 7069, cited above, looks somewhat caespitose.
