Saxifraga diversifolia var. moorcroftiana Ser.
Plant erect, 10-40 cm. Lower leaves glabrous, 3-5 cm long, elliptic to lanceolate, base attenuate, apex acute; petiole 2-4 cm long, glabrous to sparsely villous near the base. Cauline leaves 1-2 cm, decreasing in size up-wards, ovate, amplexicaul, sparsely glandular-ciliate. Flowers yellow, 1-3(-8), in corymbs. Pedicels and upper portion of stem glandular hairy. Bracts c. 4 mm long. Sepals 4-5 mm long, obovate, almost free, ciliate. Petals c. 7 mm long, oblong-ovate. Filaments slightly shorter than the petals. Styles short, divergent; stigmas prominent. Capsule ovoid, c. 7 mm long.

Type: Wallich (G-DC).
Distribution: Alpine and sub-alpine Himalayas (from Kashmir to Nepal); S. Tibet, W. China.
Grows in wet soil from 3000-4500 m in the Northern regions of Pakistan and Kashmir. Differs from the previous species in its basal attenuate leaves.
