Saxifraga diversifolia var. parnassifolia (D. Don) Engl.
Herb c. 12 cm high. Stem erect, glandular hairy. Basal leaves crowded, 2-3 cm long; broadly ovate, obtuse, base subcordate; glabrous to sparsely villous. Petiole 2-6 cm; base of petiole and stem hairy. Cauline leaves ovate, amplexicaul, glandular ciliate. Flowers yellow, (1-)2-6(-10), in corymbs, bracteate; bracts ovate-lanceolate, glandular ciliate. Pedicels and upper portion of stem glandular hairy. Sepals 4 mm, free, ovate, obtuse, glandular. Petals 6 mm long, broadly oblong, base narrow. Carpels basally united; style short, 2-3 mm long.

Type: Nepal, Wallich.
Distribution: Alpine Himalayas, from Kashmir to Sikkim.
Recognised by its Parnassia-like, petiolate leaves.
