Erect annual, 15-100 cm tall. Stem densely hirsute. Leaf simple, 6.5-14.5 cm long, c. 6-10 mm broad, linear to oblong-lanceolate, acute, glabrous above, appressly pilose below; petiole c. 2-4 mm long. Stipules minute. Inflorescence a 2-12-flowered raceme or flowers solitary in upper axils. Bract c. 6-18 mm long; bracteoles in the upper part of pedicel. Calyx 18-25 mm long, densely pilose, hairs long, spreading. Corolla pale yellow, shorter than the calyx. Fruit sessile, up to 20-25 mm long, 8 mm broad, subcylindrical, glabrous, c. 20-35-seeded.
