Chaerophyllum gracillimum Kl.Chaerophyllum millefolium Kl.Vicatia millefolia (Kl.) Clarke
10-30 cm tall. Tap root thick. Stem branched from the base. Leaves 2-3-pinnate; pinnae oval to ovate; ultimate segments filiform to lanceolate. Involucre of 1 or 2 linear bracts or lacking. Rays 5-12. Involucel of 4-6 linear bractlets. Petals white to red. Fruit oblong to ovoid, 3.5-4 mm long, narrowed at the apex, glabrous; styles short; furrows 3-5-vittate; commissure 4-vittate.
Type: Nepal, Wallich 591 (K).
Distribution: Afghanistan, Himalayas in India and W. Pakistan.
Grows in shady forests and alpine regions from 2500-4000 M.
