Convolvulus hypocrateriformis Desr.
Lianas, the stems becoming woody with age, pubescent. Leaves rounded-cordate, obtuse apically, densely appressed pubescent below. Flowers usually solitary, occasionally subspicate. Sepals unequal, ovate, obtuse apically, 10-12 mm long, densely short villose. Corolla white, salverform, 6-9 cm long. Fruit indehiscent or tardily dehiscent, dry-baccate, 2 cm long. Seeds brown, glabrous.
Fl. Per.: During rains in summer.
Type: hides Orientales. herb. Jussieu (P, not seen).
G-6 Sind: Nagar Parker, A.R.Beg R/105 (PPFI-B), Nagar Parker, Qaiser & Ghafoor 3977 (RAW, KUH), id. S.I. Ali & S.A. Farooqi 4436 (KUH). Distribution: Pakistan, India to Assam.
R.R. Stewart (l.c. 1972) cites specimens from Sind and Karachi Hills, collected by Jafri, Stocks and Blatter et al. It has also been reported by Parker from the Punjab and by Kashyap from Lahore and Changa Manga.
