Cerastium alpinum sensu Stewart non L.
Perennial, 15-45 cm with erect to ascending stems, pilose, becoming glandular above. Leaves 10-35 (-40) x 5-10 mm, oblong to oblong-lanceolate apex subacute, ± glandular, base sessile. Bracts lanceolate, with scarious margim Inflorescence a few-flowered cyme. Sepals 6-8 mm, lanceolate, pilose-glandular with wide scarious margins. Petals white, 1½ times longer than the calyx, teeth with the margins slightly revolute. Seeds subglobose, with a papillose back.

Distribution: Afghanistan, Pakistan, W. Himalaya.
