Ceratocephala orthocerus DC.Ranunculus falcatus var. orthocerus (DC.) Aitch. & Hemsl.Ranunculus testiculatus Crantz
Plant annual, small 1-8 cm high, covered with woolly hairs, subtomentose rarely glabrescent. Leaves palmately 3-Bd, with narrow, linear, entire or 2-3-lobed segments. Peduncles as long as or shorter than leaves. Flowers solitary, 5-7 mm in diameter. Sepals and petals usually 5. Fruiting spike cylindrical. Achenes with a long narrow straight beak.

Type: Described from the Crimea.
Baluchistan: D-4 Ziarat hills, S.M. Jafri 2083 (RAW), Kalat, 12.4.1956, coll. ignot. in (RAW). Distribution: As indicated for the genus as a whole.
Found in Pakistan in dry places up to 2400 m.
