Type: Sanku, Zanskar, 3000 m above sea level, A.H.Munshi 3891 (KASH).
Excluded and Imperfactly known species.
Munshi & Javeid described this perennial species of Polygonum from Kashmir. The author could not study the type specimen. From the description and the plate it is quite difficult to ascertain its identity. However, P. ganderbalensis seems to belong to P. aviculare complex. In the present treatment this is considered as an imperfactly known species.
