An ornamental plant, propagated by offsets. Plant up to 65 cm. Leaves linear c. 65 cm long, 6-15 mm broad. Flowers c. 5.0 cm across, in few flowered 1-sided racemes. Tepals 15-31 mm, white, green outside with white margins. Cultivated widely in Europe and sometimes naturalized; cultivated and an escape in the Kashmir valley.
