Astragalus clarkeanus Ali in Sind Univ.Sc.Res.J. 2(2):2. 1967.
Herb, c. 30 cm tall. Stem angular, black-pubescent. Leaf imparipinnately compound; petiole c. 7-16 mm long, rachis c. 6 cm long; leaflets 13-15, c. 8-12 mm long, c. 4-5 mm broad, obtuse, glabrous above, sparsely white-pubescent below, petiolule c. 1 mm long; stipules c. 6-7 mm long. Inflorescence an axillary pedunculate raceme, peduncle c. 6-10.5 cm long. Pedicel c. 1 mm long. Calyx c. 7-7.5 mm long, black-pubescent, teeth c. 2.5-3 mm long. Corolla lavender blue. Vexillum c. 13-14 mm long. Wing c. 11 mm long. Keel c. 8 mm long. Fruit c. 7-8 mm long, c. 3.5-4 mm broad, not rugose, black pubescent, semibilocular, 5-seeded.

Distribution: Endemic to Karakorum.
