Stem caespitose, appressed white-pubescent. Leaf imparipinnately compound, c. 6-15 mm long; leaflets 11-15, c. 1.5-3 mm long, c. 1 mm broad, oblong, densely canescent; stipules lanceolate. Inflorescence an axillary peduncled raceme; peduncle c. 2.5-5.0 cm long, pubescent, hairs appressed, black and white, silky. Bracts and pedicel small. Calyx c. 4-5 mm long, pubescent, hairs avpressed, mostly black, teeth c. 1.5-2.0 mm long. Corolla lilac or purple. Vexillum c. 9 mm long. Wing c. 8-10 mm long. Keel c. 8-10 mm long. Fruit pubescent, unilocular, few seeded; stipe short.

Distribution: Kashmir; India, N. Punjab; E. Turkestan; Tibet, 13000-18000 ft.
