    Shrub, young branches pilose. Leaf paripinnately compound, c. 7.0-18.0 cm long; leaflets c. 20-40, c. 5-11 mm long, elliptic-oblong or obovate, obtuse or retuse, often conduplicate, glabrous above, pilose below when young; stipules lanceolate, pilose on the margins with several conspicuous nerves. Inflorescence a 2-5-flowered, pedunculate raceme, peduncle up to 2.6 cm long. Pedicel c. 5-6 mm long, hispid. Calyx c. 1.2-1.6 cm long, pilose, hairs white or black and white, teeth c. 4-4.5 mm long. Corolla yellow. Vexillum c. 2.5-2.8 cm long, glabrous. Wing c. 2.2-2.3 cm long. Keel c. 1.7-1.8 cm long. Fruit c. 1.7-1.8 cm long, pilose, c. 18-seeded.

    Fl.Per.: June-September.

    Holotype: Tibeto-occidentali, 10000-14000 ft., Thomson (LE-not seen).

    Distribution: Kashmir; India (Garhwal); Chinese Turkistan.
