Colutea arborescens var. nepalensis (Sims) Baker
Shrub, up to 3 m tall, young branches pilose; older shoots red-brown or brown, shining. Leaf 4-8 cm long, leaflets 7-13, up to 10-12 mm long, 7-8 mm broad, elliptic or obovate, obtuse or retuse, pubescent on both sides, becoming glabrescent, petiolule up to 1 mm long; stipules c. 1.5 mm long. Inflorescence a 3-5-flowered raceme. Pedicel 10-15 mm long, pubescent. Bract c. 1-1.5 mm long, pubescent. Bracteoles up to 1 mm long. Calyx up to 8 mm long, pubescent, hairs black and white, teeth up to 2 mm long. Corolla yellow. Vexillum up to 22 mm long. Fruit 4-6 cm long, c. 2-2.5 cm broad, abruptly narrowing into an acute tip, pubescent, hairs long.
