Pleurospermum hookeri var. thomsonii C.B. Clarke in Hook. f., Fl. Brit. Ind. 2: 705. 1879.
Plants c. 30 cm tall, tufted. Stem reduced. Leaves mostly basal, 2-pinnate; pinnae oval to ovate, pinnatifid. Involucre of 3-5 lanceolate bracts, c. 1 cm long, 2 mm broad. Rays 5-8. Involucel of numerous linear to lanceolate white margin¬ed bractlets. Calyx teeth prominent, ovate.
Type locality: Described from Himalayas.
Distribution: Himalayas.
This species is found at high altitudes in the Himalayas. It has been reported from Baltistan. In appearance it looks like a Selinum or a Cortia.
