Scaligeria scariosibracteata Rech. f. & Riedl, Biol. Skr. 13, 4: 123. 1963.
20-30 cm tall, glabrous. Stem slender, 1 mm in diameter. Root globose, 5 mm in diameter. Leaves few; basal leaves c. 6 cm long; upper shorter; segments short, filiform; leaf bases sheathing, margin white, scarious. Involucre of 5-6, linear to lanceolate, white margined bracts. Rays 8-10, 1-2 cm long. Involucel of 5-8 lanceolate, white bractlets. Stylopodium depressed; styles short.
Type: Afghanistan, Nuristan, Kerstan 732 (HAL).
Distribution: Afghanistan, W. Pakistan.
