Scaligeria chitralica Hiroe, Umb. Asia. 1: 129. 1958.
About 1 m tall, glabrous. Root fusiform, elongated. Leaves mostly basal, 3-pinnate; pinnae dissected into 1-2 mm long filiform segments. Involucre of 5 minute white margined bracts. Rays 4-6, 1-2 cm long, filiform. Involucel of 5 minute white margined bractlets. Umbellets small, numerous. Fruit ovoid, gla¬brous, 2 mm long; ridges obscure; furrows 2-3-vittate; commissure 4-vittate. Inner seed face concave, 2-grooved.
Type: Chitral, Birmoghlasht, Rahman & Siddiqi 26942 (Holotype, UC; Isotype, RAW).
Distribution: W. Pakistan.
