Heracleum polyadenum Rech. f. & Riedl, Biol. Skr. 13, 4:85. 1963.
Plant c. 2 m tall, pubescent; hairs white, flattened. Basal leaves large, simple, ovate-cordate; apex obtuse; margin dentate with glandular hairs. Involu¬cre lacking. Rays c. 30, pubescent; hairs scale-like. Involucel of linear to lanceo¬late bractlets. Fruit 8 mm long, 5 mm broad, pubescent, base attenuate, apex sub-cordate.
Type: Afghanistan, Nuristan, Koelz 12617 (US).
Distribution: Afghanistan, W. Pakistan.
According to Kitamura this species may be H. olgae Regel & Schm. which has been reported from Chitral. I have not seen any authentic specimen of this.
