Tricholaser afghanicum Gilli
Plants perennial, 15 cm to 1 m tall, pubescent. Root thick, tapering taproot. Stem base fibrous with persistent leaf bases. Leaves petiolate, 3-5 cm long bipinnate, pubescent; pinnae trilobed; margin toothed; lobes obovate to ovate. Involucre of a few minute bracts or lacking. Rays 3-6, pubescent. Involucel of linear pubescent bractlets. Ovary densely pubescent; style 1 mm long. Fruit oblong, 7-9 mm long, 4-6 mm broad; lateral ridges thickened.

Distribution: Afghanistan, W. Pakistan.
