    Annual usually 10-15 (-20) cm long, erect with lateral branches often spreading or decumbent, few, usually from the base, not or hardly thickened below the infructescence, leaves greenish, often increasing in size upwards, sometimes involucrate below the inflorescence; clothed with stellate 6-8-rayed hairs, lower parts usually with sublepidote indumentum. Leaves oblanceolate to linear, up to 3 cm long, 7 mm broad, sessile, entire. Racemes 10-20(-30)-flowered, up to 10(-15) cm long in fruit. Flowers c. 1.5 mm across, yellowish; pedicel up to 4 mm long in fruit and slightly thickened below. Sepals 1-1.5 mm long. Petals 1.5-2 mm long, apex conspicuously emarginate. Stamens c. 1: 1.5 mm long; filaments appendaged. Siliculae c. 4 mm long, 3.5 mm broad, broadly ovate with almost entire apex and a distinct style 0.5-1 mm long; valves unequally tumid with flattened narrow margin, pubescent; outer valves distinctly convex, inner (the one towards the axis) hardly or slightly convex; septum not veined; seeds 2 in each locule, c. 2 mm long, ovate, brown.

    Syntypes: Northern Iran, Talish, C.A. Meyer (LE); Mt. Ararat, Hohenaker (K).

    Distribution: Turkey, Turcomania, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
