Plants short, robust, diffuse to suberect, subfleshy, 10-15 cm tall, with radical leaves as long or longer than the stem; rootstock perpendicular, densely covered with persistent, sheathing leaf bases; radical leaves many with long, sheathing bases; leaf segments short, 1-2 cm long, with subsessile, alternate, smaller pinnules and lobules. Racemes dense, congested, capitulum-like, 25-30-flowered, 1-2 (-3) cm long; bracts pinnatisect to entire, smaller. Flowers somewhat greenish-yellow, similar or slightly larger than those in the type variety.

Type: Pakistan, Hazara Dist.: Kaghan valley, Saiful maluk, July 1954, Shaukat Ali 145 (RAW).

Distribution: Kashmir and Pakistan, at higher elevations.

It occupies a place between this species and the following one, but racemes expanded and flowers more like the type race. However, this reaches very close to Corydalis clarkei Prain in habit and leaf segmentations but flowers narrow and ultimate leaf-segments short. It is provisionally placed here till more records are available with fruits.
