Bulbs ovate, c. 1.5 cm broad, scaly, outer scales brownish, inner white. Leaves linear. Spathe bivalved, ovate, acuminate, pale rose coloured. Perigonium stellate. Tepals rose coloured, long linear to lanceolate, 4-6 mm long, obtuse. Filaments as long as or shorter than the tepals, entire, linear with broad bases.
Type: Chitral, 8-11,000, Harriss 16691-a (K).
Distribution: Afghanistan, Pakistan.
A plant of high altitudes in the northern regions.
