  • Amaryllis caspia (Pall.) Willd.
  • Crinum caspium Pall.

    Bulbs ovoid, c. 2 cm broad, scaly, outer coats papery, dark brown, inner white. Scape c. 15 cm tall, stout, c. 1 cm thick. Leaves 3, 2-5 cm broad, linear to lanceolate. Umbels globose, many flowered; flowers laxly arranged. Pedicels 3-9 cm long, purplish. Tepals oval, 7-8 mm long, obtuse. Stamens exserted; filaments entire, connate at the base. Style filiform, exserted.

    Type: Described from the Caspian Sea region.

    Distribution: Central Asia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan.

    Not common in Pakistan.
