Scabiosa olivieri var. pinnatisecta Boiss., Fl.Or. 3:141. 1875.
Similar to the var. olivieri but differs in all the leaves being pinnatisect or partite.
Syntype: Mesopotamia, Aucher 775; in Persia prope Schiraz, Kotscly 437a.
Distribution: same as that of the var. olivieri..
Burkill (Work. List of Flow.Pl. of Baluchistan, 38.1909) mentions the presence of Scabiosa cana D. Dietr. (Pab in Jhalawan, Hughes-Buller 19822), but I have not been able to verify this due to lack of authentic material.
