Root long, woody. Stem very short, up to 4 cm or less long. Leaf imparipinnately compound; petiole c. 7-20 cm long, scantily hairy, hairs white; rachis c. 5.2-20 cm long; leaflets (7)-13-31-(41), lateral leaflets opposite; petiolulate, petiolule less than 1 mm, lamina 8-65 mm long, c. 4-15 mm broad, filiform to lanceolate, elliptic to ovate, entire, acute or obtuse, rarely retuse, scantily pubescent, sometimes glabrous above; stipules cauline, free, 10-25 mm long, sparsely ciliate on the margins and apex. Inflorescence a 8-20-flowered peduncled raceme, peduncle c. 2-20 cm long, sparsely pubescent or glabrous. Bracts c. 5-9 mm long, pubescent, hairs black and white; pedicel c. 2-3 mm long. Calyx c. 8-12 mm long, with appressed black or black and white hairs; teeth c. 3-4 mm long. Corolla yellowish, whitish or pale greenish yellow. Vexillum c. 18-25 mm long. Wing c. 16-22 mm long. Keel c. 13-20 mm long. Fruit up to 2-2.5 cm long, 10-15 mm broad, minutely puberulous, sub-bilocular; stipe 5-12 mm long, exserted from calyx.

Distribution: Pakistan, (Chitral); Central Asia, Pamir Alai.
