Androsace aizoon var. himalaica Knuth
Fl. Per.: June-August.
Holotype: Kashmir, near Baltal, Jacquem. 1040 (iso. P, photo!).
Distribution: N.W. Himalaya, W. Tibet.
A rock plant found from 2300-3658 m. Can readily be observed by the numerous long scapes and reddish-pink flowers. Not very common. Its nearest allies are the Chinese Androsace integra Forrest and Androsace bulleyana Forrest which differ in their usually eglandulose nature and the larger corolla with ± entire lobes.
