Folia dimorpha, exteriora elliptico-lanceolata usque lanceolata, 10-11 mm longa, intima loriformia, 13-22 mm longa. Pedicelli graciles, 8-14 mm longi. Bracteae 6-8 mm longae.

Leaves dimorphic, outer ones elliptic-lanceolate to lanceolate, 10-11 mm long, innermost strap-shaped, 13-22 mm long. Pedicels slender, 8-14 mm long. Bracts 6-8 mm long.

Holotype: near Bodkharbu, treaty rd., 11000', Ladak, Ludlow & Sherriff 8378 (BM).

Distribution: Ladak.

There is some resemblance of Lowndes 1200 (BM!) from Sabze Khola, Nepal with this variety, but the leaves are not dimorphic and are smaller in size.
