Euphorbia emodi Hook. f.Euphorbia rosea sensu Rech. f. & Schirnan-Czeika
Similar to Euphorbia clarkeana, but plant often sparsely to densely hispid, with the leaf-blades up to 2.3 x 1 cm (though usually less), generally sharply serrate, cyathia more obviously solitary, larger (up to 1.5 mm diam. at the top) and with prominent white petaloid gland-appendages, and quadrangular transversely tuberculate-rugulose seeds.

Syntypes: India, Uttar Pradesh, Kumaon, Almora Dt, Hawalbagh, Wallich 207, 325 (LE); Isosyntypes (P). NB. These numbers do not correspond with those in the Numerical List).
Distribution: Afghanistan, N.W. India. On silty loam, granite, on dry stony ground, by stony streamsides, irrigation channel-banks, on grassy slopes, in fields, gardens, by roadsides, in waste-places, on aerodromes; 2200'/670 m. - 9000'/2740 m.
