Perennial 30 cm or more tall. Branches many, erect-spreading, greenish white to greyish-green, appressedly hairy. Leaves 15-25 x 2.5-4 mm, linear-lanceolate, appressedly hairy on the surfaces. Inflorescence a terminal axillary slender spike, 30-40 cm tall. Bracts (if present), lanceolate, 2-4 mm long, impressed hairy. Calyx 5-partite; lobes 13-1.8 mm long, lanceolate, hairy. Corolla 1.5-2.4 mm long, sparsely hairy without and internally pilose below the stamens; lobes obtuse. Anthers 0.5 mm, ovate. Stigma capitate.
